The City of Beaumont is giving residents additional time to transition from the old blue recycling containers to the City’s official green trash containers. To help make the transition as smooth as possible, the City has extended collection from blue recycling containers through August 31, 2026. Collection from blue containers was previously scheduled to end in July. Beginning September 1, 2026, the City will no longer collect materials from blue recycling containers.
The blue containers were part of the City’s former recycling program, which ended in 2019. These containers are privately owned and are not part of the City’s current solid waste program. Because they are not City-issued, the City cannot repair or replace them if they are damaged during collection.
Residents who would like to continue using two containers after September 1 may request an additional City-issued green trash container by completing the appropriate Solid 黑料网 forms on the City of Beaumont website or by contacting the Solid 黑料网 Division.
