The hometown waste and recycling company along with project partners Struble Road Development Company, McGill Smith Punshon, Inc., Miller Valentine Group, Colerain Township and the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority showcased the project during a brief press conference attended by 70 people from the company, township and business community.

鈥2017 marks Rumpke鈥檚 85th anniversary,鈥 said Bill Rumpke Jr., president and CEO, Rumpke. 鈥淎s we celebrate our company鈥檚 history, it鈥檚 also time to celebrate our company鈥檚 future 鈥 and what better way to do that than to embark on construction of Rumpke鈥檚 new corporate headquarters.鈥

The 74,000-square foot, three story office building will be located on the corner of Colerain Avenue and Struble Road. More than 200 Rumpke employees, currently located in buildings throughout Colerain Township will move into the new space, scheduled to open in fall 2018.

鈥淭his development keeps jobs in the township. The building replaces a number of out-dated structures and brings our employees together in a new innovative facility that will add business efficiencies and improve the work environment for our employees, as well as provide space for our team to grow,鈥 Rumpke said.

In addition to Rumpke鈥檚 corporate headquarters, the developer, Struble Road Development Company, has plans to construct a light industrial park, opening up more than 53 acres of development, to attract more development to the region.

鈥淥ur intention is to further spur development and employment opportunities in Colerain Township,鈥 Rumpke said. 鈥淲e want Colerain to continue to grow and flourish. Colerain has been our home since 1945. It鈥檚 where my grandfather established our business; where my father grew our business, and it鈥檚 a place where myself and future generations will further solidify Rumpke as a leader in the waste and recycling industry.鈥

Struble Road Development Company hopes to build up to eight light industrial structures, totaling about 316,000 square feet. This will join other light industrial business currently in the area, including Greater Cincinnati Dental, Robert Jacob, Inc., Circle Storage and Colerain RV.
