quip announced the opening of a new steel manufacturing facility in Salisbury, NC. This new operation manufactures front-load dumpsters (FEL), roll-off containers, and compactors to supplement production capacity, improve distribution efficiency, and enhance service for customers along the East Coast.
Located within the company’s existing AMREP operation, the expansion adds more than 43,000 square feet of manufacturing space to quip’s national footprint. The facility is strategically positioned to serve as a production and distribution site for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, strengthening the company’s capabilities across key East Coast markets while increasing access to essential waste handling equipment. Furthermore, the investment reflects quip’s ongoing fidelity to developing its manufacturing network and meeting growing customer demand.
“Salisbury offers an ideal location for expanding our steel manufacturing capabilities,” said Jason Moore, President of Containers. “Its proximity to our existing facilities, access to major transportation routes along the I-85 corridor, and position between Charlotte and North Carolina’s Research Triangle region make it a strategic hub for serving customers across the Southeast. This allows us to increase production capacity, improve lead times, and better support our customers’ growing needs.”
Customers throughout the region will benefit from:
- Faster delivery times through closer proximity to key markets
- Increased availability of roll-off containers and front-load dumpsters
- Enhanced production flexibility to support customization requirements
- Greater manufacturing capacity to scale alongside customer demand
- Improved service through integration with quip’s broader manufacturing network
