Industrial shredding specialist UNTHA shredding technology America, Inc. has announced a duo of appointments as the growing business continues to expand its presence across North America 鈥 hot on the heels of Luis Martins joining the team as Vice President of Sales in late 2025.
The strategic hires come at a pivotal time for the business, as it invests in regional growth, responds to evolving legislation, and strengthens its market position. Bolstering the sales team is Sales Manager Charlotte Fischer. Based in California, Charlotte will focus on business development across the western United States 鈥撀燼 largely untapped territory for UNTHA America 鈥撀燿riving brand awareness and identifying new project opportunities.
With 16 years of experience in the waste, recycling, and plastics sectors, Charlotte brings a strong background in commodities, raw material sourcing, and solution-led sales. Her career began selling off-spec resins before evolving into broader roles encompassing material marketing, customer development, and equipment solutions.
Most recently, Charlotte held a business development position at Viably, working on stationary construction and demolition waste projects across the US and Canada. Prior to that, she worked with optical sorting specialist Steinert, further strengthening her understanding of advanced recycling systems.
In her new role, Charlotte will focus on helping customers specify the right equipment for their operations, drawing on her deep understanding of input materials and processing requirements. Charlotte commented: 鈥淭he West Coast is a huge opportunity for UNTHA. It鈥檚 an untapped market for the brand, and with new legislations coming into force across the region, we鈥檙e seeing increasing demand for better recycling infrastructure. I鈥檝e always known UNTHA as a premium shredder manufacturer, so I鈥檓 excited to build awareness, bring in new customers, and support more complex applications across a wider range of materials.鈥
She is joined by fellow Sales Manager Mark Williams, who returned to UNTHA America in March and now oversees a diverse territory spanning the Southeast and Central United States, reaching as far north as the Canadian border.
Mark has more than 20 years of industry experience, having started his career in the cement manufacturing sector before moving into alternative fuels and shredding applications. A former UNTHA customer, he later joined the business and now rejoins the team, bringing valuable perspective from both customer and market-facing roles.
In his role, Mark is responsible for developing both new and existing customer relationships, promoting the full UNTHA portfolio, and supporting major accounts. His immediate focus is aligning closely with customers鈥 operational needs, ensuring they have the right equipment, service support, and processing solutions in place.
Mark noted: 鈥淭his is a massive market, and there鈥檚 still a lot of education needed. Many customers know they have a problem, but they don鈥檛 always know the right solution 鈥 that鈥檚 where we come in. For me, it鈥檚 about being honest, building relationships, and making sure we鈥檙e delivering the right outcome, not just selling a machine. That鈥檚 what creates long-term success.鈥
These appointments follow closely behind the arrival of Luis Martins, a well-known and respected figure in the waste and recycling industry. His leadership as vice president of sales is helping to shape UNTHA America鈥檚 next phase of growth, drawing on extensive experience in strategic planning, AI-driven recycling technologies, and complex waste applications.
Commenting on the trio of appointments, UNTHA America President Bernhard Martinz said: 鈥淭hese hires mark an important step in our growth journey. Charlotte and Mark both bring deep industry expertise, strong networks, and a genuine commitment to delivering solutions for customers. Together with Luis, we are building a team that is well-positioned to expand our presence across North America and support customers in an increasingly complex and evolving market.鈥
Luis Martins added: 鈥淥ur focus is on delivering value beyond the machine. Charlotte鈥檚 understanding of materials and emerging legislation, combined with Mark鈥檚 customer relationships and application experience, gives us a powerful platform for growth.鈥
The expansion comes as UNTHA America navigates a changing market landscape. Increasing legislation 鈥 particularly around recycling targets and Extended Producer Responsibility 鈥 is driving demand for advanced processing equipment.
Alongside strengthening its team, the company is continuing to invest in its North American infrastructure, including enhancements to its digital platforms, service capabilities, and parts availability, to better support customers and deliver responsive, localized support. Together, these initiatives position UNTHA America for continued growth and closer alignment with its customers鈥 evolving requirements.
