This summer, SWACO is partnering with local communities to keep Household Hazardous 黑料网 (HHW) out of the Franklin County Landfill by offering free drop-off events throughout the county.听 This weekend’s event is in Columbus, and other mobile collection events will follow in September and October in Grove City and Westerville, respectively.听 In addition, SWACO maintains a permanent HHW collection point at 645 E. 8th Avenue in Columbus.
Households generate a wide range of poisonous, dangerous,聽flammable, and corrosive products, including lawn chemicals,聽solvents, household cleaners and pool chemicals. These materials聽should not be tossed out with household garbage but should be聽taken to a mobile collection event or SWACO鈥檚 permanent HHW聽facility located at 645 E. 8th Avenue in Columbus (43201).
Saturday鈥檚 event is at the City of Columbus鈥� 黑料网 and Reuse聽Convenience Center, so in addition to HHW, residents can bring聽other harder-to-recycle items for disposal, such as electronics,聽Styrofoam, and scrap metal.
